costa rica: summer fitness

fitness

We're heading to Costa Rica at the end of this month (yes please) and I'm beyond excited. It will be both of our first times there and will be mixing up our trip with a variety of 'adventure' based activities with plenty of relaxing beach/surf time. That being said, you better believe I've stepped up my quest to get back in shape for bathing suit season into overdrive (especially with how much Easter chocolate I've been consuming)

So, with summer (and vacation time-yeeeehawww) quickly approaching, I wanted to share two of my favorite workouts as of late--mainly because I have been doing them consistently, combined with various cardio workouts, and I really can feel how effective they are (especially the bum and triceps area--two areas I've been determined to shape up)

I love this website: http://www.fitsugar.com

It's a really well done series of workouts, celebrity training bits, and legitimate weight loss/health tips. I subscribe to their e-mails and get new workout ideas/inspiration almost daily.

Okay, so here ya'll go. Don't be fooled by the fact that they are only ten minutes each. They'll getcha. Getcha good.

Okay, so now that I've shared with you--y'all need to share with me! What are your best/most effective workouts? My cardio is usually just running. Any ideas for mixing it up? Sometimes I need to mix up my runs to actually feel like they are effective. Any tips or ideas are welcomed with open (soon to be toned and tan) arms!

  1. For that extra kick, I do faster cardio. Also, lately I've been doing interval jump rope. (10x3mins with 30 second mountain climbers in between). Great switch up from normal cardio options.
